A potent combination of flukicide (triclabendazole 20%) and wormer (moxidectin 0.5%), Cydectin Plus Fluke Pour-On for Cattle is the only pour on product that kills immature and mature stages of liver fluke, AND offers broad spectrum persistent worm control, in a single dose.

Cydectin Plus Fluke Pour-On has the longest persistent activity claims for roundworms, of any fluke and roundworm combination product available.

    Active Constituents

    • 5 g/L moxidectin
    • 200 g/L triclabendazole

    CYDECTIN Plus Fluke Pour-On contains two active ingredients, triclabendazole and moxidectin, a member of the milbemycin/avermectin family. It is effective against internal parasites sensitive to either family. It is effective in the treatment and control of liver fluke, internal and external parasites of cattle. It is effective against sensitive strains of the following internal parasites:

    Liver fluke: Adult and immature stages of Fasciola hepatica

    Gastrointestinal roundworms: Adult and immature;

    Haemonchus contortus (barber’s pole worm),

    Ostertagia ostertagi (O. lyrata) (small brown stomach worm, including inhibited larvae),

    Trichostrongylus axei (stomach hair worm),

    Trichostrongylus colubriformis (black scour worm),

    Trichostrongylus longispicularis,

    Cooperia oncophora (small intestinal worm),

    Cooperia punctata,

    Oesophagostomum radiatum (nodule worm),

    Bunostomum phlebotomum (hookworm).

    Lungworm: Adult and immature Dictyocaulus viviparus

    Lice: Linognathus vituli, Haemotopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus, Bovicola

    bovis

    Mange mites: Chorioptes bovis

    Rainfast:

    Efficacy remains good when skin is wet, or if rain occurs shortly after application.

    Withholding Times:

    It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the NZ (Maximum Residues Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards.

    Improved Milk Production:

    The use of CYDECTIN Pour-On improves milk production in lactating dairy cows and increases gains in growing beef and dairy cattle exposed to parasite challenge.

    Broad Spectrum:

    Safety to Target Animals:

    CYDECTIN Plus Fluke Pour-On has a wide margin of safety when used at the recommended dose rate in all ages and breeds of cattle including pregnant cows and breeding bulls.

    Effect on Dung Beetles:

    When applied as directed, the levels of moxidectin in the faeces of treated animals has no significant adverse effect on dung beetles.

    Storage:

    Store below 25°C and protect from light. Do not freeze. Contents should be used within 6 months after the first dose is removed.

    Concurrent Use:

    CYDECTIN Plus Fluke Pour-On is safe to use concurrently with other treatments in cattle including mineral supplements, and vaccines. It should not be applied at the same time as any other pour on product.

    Non-irritant:

    CYDECTIN Plus Fluke Pour-On does not cause irritation to the skin or damage to the hide when used as directed.

  • CYDECTIN® Plus Fluke Pour-On is available in a 1L bottle and a 5L backpack with an upright draw off system.

  • By law the user must take due care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label.

    CYDECTIN Plus Fluke Pour-On should be applied along the top of the back from the withers to the base of the tail. Weigh animals before dosing, choose dose according to the weight of the heaviest animals. Do not underdose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on body weight, to avoid excessive overdosing. Check accuracy of dose delivery of the applicator regularly.

    Volume to Use:

    1 mL/10 kg to give 0.5 mg moxidectin and 20 mg triclabendazole per kg liveweight.
